That is a different process and is not the same to put a little butter in the thread. "Infusion" has a different meaning. Put oil in the thread just makes it soggy and useless. Washing may or can not get clean it, and may or may not leave the wool in any useful way after that. The threads that say they have some other material or otherwise, such as cell sea or jojoba or shea butter or aloe vera, or anything else, are some excerpts from the material, and are part of the manufacturing process, not only covering the wires. You can not do it yourself.
